Description: The Irene Goodman Agency is offering a Spring/Summer internship for a candidate who is motivated, organized, passionate about reading, and eager to learn about the publishing industry under the supervision of a Literary Agency.

Duties will include reading and evaluating manuscripts, as well as administrative work (filing, scanning, mailing), and you'll learn about book publishing in a hands-on environment, building real work experience.

Hours and length of internship are flexible, and we offer school credit as well as a monthly stipend.

Length of Internship: Spring/Summer 17 with flexibility
Requirements: The Ideal candidate is either a graduate student workings towards a Masters in Publishing, Creative Writing, English or a related field or an Undergraduate Student pursuing a Bachelor's in a similar concentration.

Candidates need not have professional editorial experience, but should have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of general reading & literature. Candidates should also be self-motivated, skilled critical readers, organized, responsible and detail oriented.
