Title:	Publicity Intern, Hachette Books (2019-2020)
Description:	Hachette Books, an imprint of Perseus Books, a Hachette Book Group company, is seeking an intern in our Publicity Department for the 2019-2020 academic year, running from September 23-December 13, 2019 and from February 3-April 24, 2020. The Publicity intern will assist the Senior Publicist on any and all project-related tasks including pulling lists, sending out mailings/fulfilling review copy requests, writing press materials, updating databases, coding bills, helping book travel, helping to manage author tour schedules, and more. Please provide a Resume AND a Cover Letter describing the reasons for your interest in the position and in Hachette Books.
Requirements:	SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED -Strong academic and extracurricular record -A passion for non-fiction, and a strong interest in learning about book publishing generally and publicity specifically -Excellent verbal and written communications skills -Must be highly organized, capable of multi-tasking, and detail-oriented -Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively -Must demonstrate imagination, creativity, original thinking, and ability to take initiative -Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel
