Company Name: TOUCHPOINT PRESS
Description: 4 open internships

Part-time internship to assist with media research, draft PR materials, contribute to company website and social media. Interns will also assist with arranging galley and finished book mailings for reviews, writing pitch letters to outlets for media coverage, preparing press kits, as well as contact and follow up with potential reviewers and event coordinators.
Length of Internship: 6 months (Jan-June and July-Dec)
Requirements: What we seek in publicity/media interns:

Excellent time-management skills
Energetic and outgoing attitude
Professionalism and dedication to the role
Ability to multi-task in deadline-oriented environment
Proficient with all levels of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, blogs, etc.)

While the internship is remote and hours are flexible, publicity interns are responsible for keeping our social media fresh and engaging daily. If you cannot commit to the internship, please do not apply. The attitude one presents in an internship is indicative of the type of worker you will become, whether with us or another publisher/company.

Duties:
Posting fresh content on our social media daily
Updating website as needed
Assist with press releases, sell sheets, and other marketing materials
Posting new release announcements
Keeping our events schedule updated
Communicate with authors as needed to obtain information and share marketing ideas and materials
Manage and grow our Street Team group

Internships typically last 6 months. The current open positions cover the last months of the Summer 2021 internship and the 6 months of the Spring 2022 internship. (As we do every year, there will be a break from Dec 10 to Jan 3 to allow staff a break and time with their families.)

Compensation is academic credit and/or letter of reference. There is advancement potential for interns who exhibit strong skills. We encourage creativity and sharing of ideas. You must be able to work independently but remember that we are a collective team.
