Company Name:	BARBARA TOLLEY & ASSOCIATES LITERARY SCOUTS
Description:	Part-time intern (25-30 hours per week) needed to assist the office of Barbara Tolley & Associates Literary Scouts. The responsibilities of this internship would involved database filing, general office tasks, reading manuscripts and proposals, and writing reader's reports. Literary scouts advise foreign publishers on the US book market and assist them in acquiring translation rights. They do a large number of tasks, from hunting manuscripts, to tracking submissions, to scheduling meetings for their clients at the international book fairs and on their periodic visits to New York. BT&A is located on 14th Street above Washington Square Park with clients in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Finland, the Netherlands, and China.
Length of Internship:	Three months but negotiable.
Requirements:	The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in book publishing and a deep love of reading. The ideal candidate would be naturally curious, responsible, possess strong writing skills, energetic, and well-spoken.
Location:	New York, NY
Payment:	Transportation - one unlimited MTA Metro Card per month.
