Description: Don Congdon Associates is seeking an intern who is detail-oriented and well-read in contemporary titles. Responsibilities include evaluating manuscripts and query letters as well as light administrative duties such as answering phones and mailings. Special independent projects will be assigned based on ability and interest.

Company Description:
Don Congdon Associates, established in 1983, represents a wide variety of genres including literary fiction, mystery/thrillers, women's fiction, humor, history, and biography/memoir. Many of the agency's authors have won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, George Polk Award, the National Book Award, James Thurber Prize, the Edgar Award, the Man Booker International Prize, the O. Henry Prize, the National Book Foundation's medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters, and the National Medal of the Arts. This is an exciting opportunity to work with well-known and current New York Times bestselling authors.
Length of Internship: 12 weeks, ideally beginning the week of June 1st and ending the week of August 17th, but these dates are subject to candidate availability.
Requirements: We are looking for someone who has confidence in their reading ability, will take initiative, and can represent the agency professionally. The position is for two full days per week.
Location: New York, NY
