NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high performing and inclusive organization.

Founded in 1926, NAEYC is the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children with nearly 90,000 members, a national network of over 300 local, state, and regional Affiliates, and a growing global alliance of like-minded organizations.

Membership is open to all individuals who share a desire to serve and act on behalf of the needs and rights of all young children.

NAEYC offers a large selection of educational resources for early childhood professionals and others, including books, brochures, videos, posters, and journals.

All members receive a subscription to the NAEYC print publication of their choice: Young Children or Teaching Young Children. Young Children, a peer-reviewed, professional journal, is published six times a year. In it readers find engaging, relevant, research-based articles on current topics in the early childhood field. All members can access the online version of Young Children in the Members-Only section of the NAEYC Web site.

Teaching Young Children, a magazine for preschool educators, is published five times a year and offers practical ideas teachers can immediately use in their classrooms. Members who subscribe to TYC also receive a bonus book, Spotlight on Teaching Young Children, which offers practitioner-oriented articles and study guides.

Voices of Practitioners: Teacher Research in Early Childhood Education, an online feature, presents the research of early childhood teachers, who are often underrepresented as authors in the educational research arena.

NAEYC publishes an extensive line of books, videos, brochures, and posters. Many are available in both English and Spanish. All these NAEYC materials, as well as selected educational resources from other publishers, may be ordered through our Online Store.

Also, NAEYC sponsors the scholarly journal Early Childhood Research Quarterly, containing outstanding current research in early childhood, along with "Practitioner Perspectives."
