Description: Bookbright Media is a publishing services company that focuses on the development and project management needs of reference publishing. We provide content development, editorial services, data management, and archive development to major global educational, library, and academic publishers. Our customers are some of the biggest publishing houses and learning companies in the world.

Bookbright Media receives manuscripts and raw materials from clients, and provides proofreading, editing, and quality control services before a project is ready for printing or final deployment

We are seeking an intern who can participate in various stages of the editorial and production process. This intern should be prepared to work in a small, fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained practical, hands on experience in various aspects of book and digital content production and greater knowledge of the publishing industry.

Intern will participate in the following:
• Preparing manuscripts for typesetting
• Reviewing book proof pages for completeness and consistency
• Ensuring that proofreaders’ changes have been properly and completely incorporated into book page proofs
• Reviewing indexes for alphabetical order and correct spelling of proper names
• Attending regular staff meetings
• Providing support to social media efforts
• Assisting with various company operations and marketing projects

• Onsite at our East Point, GA office
• Part-time, approximately 3 days per week
Length of Internship: May 21 - July 27 (10 weeks)
Requirements: • Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• A collaborative work ethic
• Keen interest and knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Not required, but beneficial: Familiarity with working with style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style or house style guides
• Prefer junior or senior
• Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
Location: East Point, GA
